Naomi Cavanaugh

Born in Detroit, MI, Naomi is a Lumbee artist who is on a mission to share her story and indigenous perspective to the world through her work. She curates bold pieces that resonate deeply, ignite emotion, and invite imagination.

Naomi's artistic style embodies a contemporary reinterpretation of expressive street art, while also paying homage to her heritage. From neighborhood graffiti artists, to her tribe's smoke and jingle dancers, she draws inspiration from a diverse range of influences.

Naomi is from the Lumbee tribe of North Carolina. The Lumbee culture is an intricate tapestry woven from the threads of history, spirituality and connection to the land. She feels strongly about native representation, and aims to empower the youth to go after their dreams unapologetically.
